Administrative Recommendation:
City Council approve Final Pay Estimate #2 to Contract 07-11 in the amount of $2,654.44, for a total
contract price of $66,646.26, with Michels Corporation and accept construction of Project No. CP0721,
Sewer Relining, 19`h Dr NE and Riverview Dr NE.
Background Summary:
The purpose of this project was to eliminate inflow and infiltration through the pipe joints in aproximately
1,500 lineal feet of sanitary sewer pipe located in 19 Street NE, Riverview Drive, and 22ndStreet NE.
Recent TV inspection of this pipe system showed very heavy inflow of groundwater. Since the streets
were recently resurfaced and the sewer pipe was in good conditions, the project intent was met using the
trenchless construction technique of pipe relining.
The funds for this project are included in the 431 Sewer Repair & Replacement Program.
A project budget contingency of $44,957 remains in the 431 fund.
