MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER
Chair Rich Wagner called the meeting to order at 8:45 a.m. in Council
Conference Room located on the first floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main
Street, Auburn, WA. Committee members present were: Chair .Rich Wagner,
Vice Chair Lynn Norman, Member Sue Singer. Also present were Director of
Human Resources Brenda Heineman, Risk Manager Rob Roscoe, Property &
Facilities Manager Suzy Omegna, Facilities Supervisor Lisa Torres, Recreation
Manager Brian Petty, Recreation Special Programs and Marketing Supervisor
Julie Brewer and Human Resources Assistant Marilyn Beeksma.
BLRB Architect Ron Harpel attended. the entire meeting. Tom Bates attended
the tours at Mercer Island and Tukwila and joined the wrap-up session.
No audience Members in attendance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Member Lynn Norman moved to approve the minutes from the January 2,
2008 meeting as submitted, seconded by Member Sue Singer.
Minutes approved unanimously 3-0.
DISCUSSION
A. Meeting started with introductions of members and BLRB Architects.
B. Planning and Design Process Overview
• BLRB Architect Ron Harpel presented an overview of the Les Gove Park
Campus Expansion which included Schematic Design, Design
Development, Construction Documents, Permitting, Bidding and
Construction.

C. Community Center Tours
• The Committee and all of the people listed as attendees except Director
Heineman visited surrounding area community centers at Federal Way,
Seattle (Yesler), Mercer Island (Mercer View) and Tukwila.
• The Committee and all of the people listed as attendees discussed likes
and dislikes of each facility toured.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
