Minutes
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Gene Cerino called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM in Conference Room
No. 3 located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main Street, Auburn.
Committee Members present included: Chair Cerino and Vice Chair Bill Peloza.
Member Lynn Norman was absent. Staff members present included: Mayor
Peter B. Lewis, Chief of Police Jim Kelly, Director of Human Resources Brenda
Heineman, Solid Waste Supervisor Sharon Hlavka and Police Investigation
Secretary Kathy Divelbiss.
II. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
Agenda modification included the addition of Information/Discussion Items V.B,
and changes previous V.B to V.C.
III. CONSENT ITEMS
A. Approval of Minutes
1. Minutes
The minutes of the February 11, 2008 Municipal Services
Committee meeting were reviewed.
Vice Chair Peloza moved and Chair Cerino seconded to approve
the minutes of the February 11, 2008 meeting.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 2-0
B. Contract Administration
There were no Contracts for Committee consideration.
IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
A. Ordinances
There were no Ordinances for the Committee's consideration.

B. Resolutions
1. Resolution No. 4305
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
authorizing the Mayor to execute aSeattle-King County
Department of Public Health memorandum of the understanding on
the local hazardous Waste Management program for 2008 activities
Solid Waste Supervisor Sharon Hlavka explained the definition of
hazardous waste and that the grant money is being used for an
education program in the chosen neighborhood. She said that the
neighborhood was selected by staff and the consultant the City is
working with.
Vice Chair Peloza moved and Chair Cerino seconded to approve
Resolution No. 4305.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 2-0
2. Resolution No. 4311
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
Authorizing the Mayor to execute an office space lease agreement
with the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce
This Resolution was discussed and Committee Members both
agreed that the Agreement is acceptable.
Vice Chair Peloza moved and Chair Cerino seconded to approve
Resolution No. 4311
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 2-0
V. INFORMATION/DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Ordinance No. 6165
An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
amending Section 2.03.040 of the Auburn City Code relating to the
appointment of appointive officers
Director of Human Resources Brenda Heineman explained this Ordinance
and said that certain positions within the City are appointed. This
Ordinance eliminated the fire department appointed positions.

B. Resolution No. 4309
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
Authorizing the Mayor to execute Residential Lease Agreements
Committee Members had no questions about Resolution 4309.
Vice Chair Peloza moved and Chair Cerino seconded to approve
Resolution No. 4309
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 2-0
C. Matrix
Add Towing Ordinance as 23P
Change review dates on 4P, 7P, 8P, 9P, 10P and 20P to March 24, 2008
VI. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further public business, the meeting adjourned at 3:40 pm.
