City Council grant permission to advertise for bids for Project No. CP0759, Olympic Middle School
Pedestrian Improvements.
Background Summary:
This project will construct crosswalks, flashing beacon signs and a 1,265 lineal foot asphalt path along the
east side of H Street SE near Olympic Middle School. All work is to be within existing right-of-way or on
school district property.
Advertisement for bids is scheduled to occur in May 2008, with construction anticipated to occur in July
and August of 2008.
The total project cost is estimated to be $221,200. A project increase of $36,200 from the 102 Arterial
Street fund may be necessary; however, it will not require a budget adjustment since it is anticipated that
the budgeted expenditures in the 102 fund will not be exceeded this year.
