Administrative Recommendation:
City Council grant permission to enter into Consultant Agreement No. AG-C-333 with Perteet Inc. for
Project No. CP0802, Comprehensive Transportation Plan Update for the Annexation Areas.
Background Summary:
The City of Auburn thoroughly updated its Comprehensive Transportation Plan in 2005, the first complete
update since 1997. In January 2008, the City annexed two large areas, Lea Hill and West Hill. To include
these two areas in the plan the City is undertaking Project No. CP0802. This will involve a thorough
outreach effort to seek public input from these annexation areas.
In addition, the City transitioned to a new traffic model in 2007 (Visum). The updated plan will incorporate
the updated land use, population, and employment projections for the planning horizon year 2030.
The Consultant, Perteet Inc., will provide a range of services for this project including: public outreach,
traffic modeling, development of GIS maps, non-motorized facilities inventory, identification of roadway,
transit, and nonmotorized needs, and plan writing.
Agreement:
The not-to-exceed amount for this agreement is $95,000. A total of $100,000 is budgeted in the 102
Fund for this project.
