Planning, Building & Community Resolution No.4354 N/A
Administrative Recommendation:
City Council adopt Resolution No. 4354.
Background Summary:
While canvassing the city to perform an address inventory collection city staff noticed three addresses
were in error. Investigation has determined that the residences located on parcels numbers 2149800-342,
2149800-350, and 2149800-361 are using an address not in compliance with the City's address system.
This has potential to create delays with emergency response as well as confusion for utilities and other
service providers.
On April 25, 2008 staff sent a letter to the property owners explaining the need to assign new addresses.
The letter requested that should the owners have concerns regarding the new address that they contact
the Building Division. To date only one parcel owner (2149800-350) has contact the Building Division for
an explanation for the change and once explained was in agreement with the change. No other property
owner has made contact with the Building Division.
ACC 15.52.055 vests the authority for changing addresses with the City Council. Due to the mix of
building ownership as well as the multitude of addresses (both known and unknown) in use a public
hearing is required.
