COMMITTEE
July 22, 2008
MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chair Sue Singer called the meeting to order at 3:38 p.m. in the Council Chambers
located on the first floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA.
Committee Members present were: Chair Lynn Norman, Member Sue Singer and
Member Gene Cerino.
Staff members present included: Mayor Pete Lewis, Planning, Building & Community
Director Cindy Baker, Principal Planner Elizabeth Chamberlain, Economic Development
Manager Dave Baron, Public Works Director Dennis Dowdy, Director of Hum
Resources/Risk & Property Mgt Brenda Heineman, Planning Secretary Renee Tobias.
Audience Members present were: Troy Humphrey, Spencer Alpert, Ronnie Roberts, Dr.
Gary M. Hahn, Edward Hahn and James Halverson.
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Member Cerino moved to approve the July 8, 2008 minutes as read; Member Singer
seconded.
The minutes were approved as submitted unanimously 2-0.
Chair Norman joined the meeting at 3:42 pm
III. AUBURN JUNCTION DESIGN GUIDELINES
The Committee provided feedback to staff on changes to the Auburn Junction Design
Guidelines; the suggested changes were reviewed. Chair Norman asked the Committee
to mark the items and provide staff with photos that would be beneficial to the Auburn
Junction Downtown Guidelines.
IV. INFORMATION
• Member Singer reviewed the illustration of the City Hall Plaza that Multimedia staff
created. It was suggested that a professional landscape architecture create a design.
• Next meeting will be on August 12, 2008 in the Council Conference Room.

V. ADJOURNMENT at 5:23 p.m.
There being no further business to come before the Downtown Redevelopment Committee, Chair
Norman adjourned the meeting at 5:23 p.m.
