MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER, 3:30 PM, CONFERENCE ROOM NO. 3
Chairman Gene Cerino called the meeting to order at 3.30 p.m. in Conference
Room 3, located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main Street,
Auburn, Washington. Members Present: Chairman Gene Cerino, Vice Chair Bill
Peloza, Member Lynn Norman. Staff Present: Mayor Peter B. Lewis, Chief of
Police Jim Kelly, Finance Director Shelley Coleman, Police Secretary Kathy
Emmert. Also present: Auburn Reporter representative Robert Whale.
II. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
Chairman Cerino presented a modification for discussion related to the parking of
truck trailers on B Street NW. See V.C for details.
III. CONSENT ITEMS
A. Approval of Minutes
1. Minutes of the September 8, 2008, Municipal Services
Committee Meeting
Vice Chair Peloza moved to approve the minutes of the September
8, 2008 meeting. Member Norman seconded. Chair Cerino
concurred.
MOTION CARRIED: 3-0
IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
A. Ordinances
1. Ordinance No. 6200 *(Kelly)
An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn,
Washington, amending ACC. 9.08.010 Aggressive Begging.

Vice Chair Peloza moved to request suggested additional
language be added to the WHEREAS statements in whatever
location the Legal Department felt appropriate and to forward the
amended ordinance to the full Council for approval. Member
Norman seconded. Chair Cerino concurred.
MOTION CARRIED: 3-0
B. Resolutions
There are no Resolutions for the Committee's' consideration
V. INFORMATION / DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Ordinance No. 6177* (Coleman)
An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
amending Section, 3.41.010 of the Auburn City Code relating to the levy
and collection of utility taxes
The Committee supports the concept of this internal bookkeeping transfer
of funds already collected to the general fund noting there is no increase
in tax to the citizens.
B. Matrix
There were no adjustments to the Matrix.
C. B Street NW Parking
The committee agreed to remove truck, trailer and truck trailer related
parking signage on B Street NW between 30th and 49th Streets to
accommodate public safety enforcement issues.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 4:15 p.m.
