HomeMy WebLinkAboutITEM V-A-2 A TY OF WASHINGTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES October 27, 2008 5:00 PM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Lewis called the special meeting of the Auburn City Council to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Auburn City Hall and led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance. The following Councilmember were present: Rich Wagner, Sue Singer, Gene Cerino, Nancy Backus, Bill Peloza, Lynn Norman and Virginia Haugen. Staff members present included: Chief of Police Jim Kelly, City Attorney Daniel B. Heid, Risk Manager Rob Roscoe, Principal Planner Elizabeth Chamberlain, Planning, Building and Community Director Cindy Baker, Public Works Director Dennis Dowdy, and City Clerk Danielle Daskam. Also present during the meeting were Washington Cities Insurance Authority Counsel Stephanie Croll, Melody McCutcheon (attorney for the applicant), Daniel Stoner of Parkstone Investments (applicant) and Valley Regional Fire Authority Fire Marshal Jeff Stottlemyre. At 5:01 p.m. Mayor Lewis recessed the meeting to executive session for approximately ten minutes to discuss pending/potential litigation pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i). At 5:15 p.m., Mayor Lewis extended the executive session an additional five minutes. Mayor Lewis reconvened the meeting at 5:18 p.m. II. RESOLUTION A. Resolution No. 4410 A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Development Agreement between the City and Parkstone Investments, Inc., to allow the development of the "Renaissance at Auburn" project at 5029 Auburn Way North Page 1 City of Auburn Council Special Meeting Minutes October 27, 2008 Councilmember Norman moved and Councilmember Backus seconded to adopt Resolution No. 4410 as revised. MOTION CARRIED. 6-1. Councilmember Haugen voted no. III. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:19 p.m. APPROVED THE DAY OF NOVEMBER 2008. Peter B.
