A OBuRN AGENDA BILL APPROVAL FORM WASHINGTON Agenda Subject: Date: Ordinance No. 6210 November 6, 2008 Department: Attachments: Budget Impact: Public Works Ordinance No. 6210 $ 0 Administrative Recommendation: City Council introduce and adopt Ordinance No.6210. Background Summary: Ordinance No. 6210 amends ACC section 10. 12.125 to eliminate reference to the specific times flashing beacons are presumed to be flashing in school zones. This provides more flexibility to adjust flashing beacon times as school start/end times change. The ordinance also expands the definition of when children are present to include unmarked, as well as marked crosswalks. Per Washington State law, any intersection is considered a crosswalk, whether marked or not. W1201-2 01.8 Reviewed by Council & Committees: Reviewed by Departments & Divisions: ?
