MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER 4:00 PM, CONFERENCE ROOM NO. 3
Chairman Gene Cerino called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. in Conference
Room 3, located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main Street,
Auburn, Washington. Members present: Chairman Gene Cerino, Vice Chair Bill
Peloza, Member Virginia Haugen. Staff present: Mayor Peter B. Lewis, Chief of
Police Jim Kelly, Financial Planning Manager Karen Jester, Emergency
Preparedness Manager Sarah Miller, M&O Manager Randy Bailey, Police
Secretary Kathy Emmert. Others present: Wayne Osborne, citizen.
II. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
A. Under Section V, Item A. becomes B. and the new A. is Emergency
Preparedness.
III. CONSENT ITEMS
A. Approval of Minutes
1.Minutes of the January 12, 2009 Municipal Services Committee
Meeting
Vice Chair Peloza moved to accept the minutes of the January 12,
2009 meeting, seconded by Member Haugen. Chair Cerino
concurred.
MOTION CARRIED: 3-0
IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
A. Ordinances
There were no Ordinances for consideration.
B. Resolutions
There were no Resolutions for consideration.
V. INFORMATION / DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Emergency Preparedness (Kelly/S. Miller)

Municipal Services Minutes January 26, 2009
Emergency Preparedness Manager Miller and Chief Kelly outlined
for the Committee the way the city responds to potential emergent
situations. Questions from committee members were addressed.
B. Matrix
The matrix is amended as follows:
Item 7P – Review date is April 27, 2009
Item 10P - Review date is April 27, 2009
Item 20P – Review date is April 27, 2009 and the status language
is amended to Quarterly Report.
Item 4G is deleted as the jail is now project and Item 25P is added
and labeled as SCORE (regional jail). The status will be On-going
with updates provided on a monthly basis by Chief Kelly.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 5:20 p.m.
