City Council approve Change Order No. 1 to the Agreement with Reid Middleton Engineers for Project
No. CP0720, Auburn Municipal Airport Taxiway Improvements, increasing the contract amount by
$265,729.00 for a total revised contract price of $562,729.00 (Washington state sales tax exempt).
Background Summary:
This contract provides engineering services for a parallel taxiway reconfiguration and taxiway electrical
and lighting improvements at the Auburn Municipal Airport. Contract funding is in the following ratio:
1. City of Auburn FUND 435 - Airport: 2-'/~%
2. WSDOT Grant Funds: 2-'h%
3. FAA Grant Funds: 95%
On June 28th, 2007 a contract was awarded to Reid Middleton Engineers, for a total contract cost,
including tax of $297,000.
This Contract amendment adds construction administration services to the original contract scope of work
and adds engineering scope to upgrade the runway electrical and lighting systems

Reid Middleton Contract Amendments
ITEM 1:
The existing Contract for engineering services covered formulation, pre-design, design
and bidding of the Auburn Municipal Airport Parallel Taxiway Project. This contract
amendment adds construction administration to the scope of work of the original
contract.
Parallel Taxiway Construction Administration:
City of Auburn FUND 435 -Airport (2 '/Z%) $ 4,298.
WSDOT Grant (2-'/2%) $ 4,298.
FAA Grant (95%) $ 163,326.
TOTAL $ 171, 922.
ITEM 2:
The FAA has agreed to fund an increase in the projects scope to include runway
electrical and lighting upgrades. The current runway electrical and lighting system does
not meet FAA standards. This contract amendment adds engineering scope to design
the runway electrical and lighting system.
Runway electrical and lighting design:
City of Auburn FUND 435 -Airport (2-'/Z%) $ 2,345.
WSDOT Grant (2-'/2%) $ 2,345.
FAA Grant (95%) $ 89,117.
TOTAL $ 93,807.
