City Council adopt Resolution No. 4466.
Background Summary:
On March 3, 2009 property owner Christopher Lane submitted a request to change his current address of
821 32"d Street NE. His request is based on "32"d Street doesn't exist on the West side of I streeY". In
response to this request, the Address Committee recommends establishing a new address of 3203 I St
NE for consideration by the City Council. If approved by the City Council, notification letters to 47
agencies will be mailed to agencies for updates to their databases. There will not be any address
impacts to adjacent properties.
ACC 15.52.055 vests the authority for changing addresses with the City Council. The City's Address
Committee comprised of representatives from Valley Regional Fire Authority, Finance, Planning, Building
and Police, has reviewed the proposed address change and has recommended approval by the City
Council. A public hearing is not required pursuant to ACC 15.52.055.C for this address change request.

RESOLUTION NO. 4466
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, TO PROVIDE
AN ADDRESS CHANGE FOR A SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENCE
WHEREAS, Auburn City Code (ACC) Chapters 12.52 and 15.52
concerning the naming of streets and the assignment of specific building
addresses provides authority to the Building Official to develop and administer
the City's Addressing Policies; and
WHEREAS, those policies are intended to create a uniform system for
assigning addresses to buildings within the City; and
WHEREAS, ACC section 15.52.055 provides that petitions for address
changes may be initiated by a City department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Building Division has identified addresses
in error and in use; and
WHEREAS, the public safety representatives of the City's address
committee are in concurrence with the Building Official that the petitioner's
request will not inhibit public safety; and
WHEREAS, the City Code provides that such requests are decided by the
Auburn City Council; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE as follows:

Section 1. Buildinq Address Assiqnments. The building address for
the single-family residence, King County tax parcel number 0004000067 formerly
identified with the address 821 32"d Place NE Auburn, WA 98002 shall be
assigned as 3203 I St NE, Auburn, WA 98002.
Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is hereby
authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary
to carry out the directions of this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall take effect and be
in full force upon passage and signatures hereon.
