NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Amendment to Citv Code. That section 13.06.511 of the Auburn City Code be and the same hereby is amended to read as follows: 13.06.511 Fees, service charges, fines, penalties and damage. A. Service Charge. Hydrant meter assembly deposits and fees for fire protection service line permits, hydrant permits, purity tests, and meter tests shall be as shown in the city of Auburn fee schedule. Service Installation Fees. Water service installation fees shall be as shown in the city of Auburn fee schedule as adopted by Ordinance 5707, and any amendments thereto. C. Damage to City Appurtenances. Damage to city appurtenances will be billed to the account at actual cost to repair or replace, including labor, material, administrative, overhead and other associated costs. The finance director is authorized to waive enforcement of the above fees, fines, charges and penalties in extenuating circumstances. D. Hydrant Meter Assessments. Use of water from a city hydrant requires a city permit. Type A permits allow withdrawal of water from dedicated hydrants. Type B permits allow withdrawal of water from nondedicated hydrants by customers using a city supplied hydrant meter with RPBA assembly. In addition to any other penalties, fees or costs enforceable for any of the below-listed violations, the following assessments shall be imposed. Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. Section 3. Severabilitv. The provisions of this ordinance are declared to be separate and severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, section or portion of this ordinance, or the invalidity of the application thereof to any person or circumstance shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance, or the validity of its application to other persons or circumstances. Section 4. Effective date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
