FOR 1992 6 AUBURN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM TO CONSTRUCT TAXIWAY LIGHTING SYSTEM. 7 8 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, IN A 9 REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 10 8ection 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of 11 Auburn, Washington are herewith authorized to execute Amendment 12 NO. 1 to Engineering Services Contract with W&H PACIFIC, INC. 13 for 1992 Auburn Municipal Airport improvement program to 14 construct taxiway lighting system. The original contract was 15 executed October 21, 1991 and authorized by Resolution No. 16 2245. A copy of said Amendment No. 1 is attached hereto and 17 denominated as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though set ig forth in full herein. 19 Section 2. Shelton City Attorney 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 Resolution No. 2286 February 26,1992 Page 2 1 AUBURN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT Amendment No. 1 to Engineering Services Contract dated October 21, 1991 between the City of Auburn and W&H Pacific, Inc. Whereas, the City of Auburn, herein after called OWNER, intends to perform the following items in addition to the work items described in the above said agreement: l. Update Airport Property Map 2. Update Runway Protection Zone Plans and Profiles drawing 3. Create Noise Contour drawing 4. Relocate Rotating Beacon 5. Install Runway End Identifier Lights (REILS) 6. Construct Connector Taxiways Whereas, W&H Pacific, Inc., herein after called ENGINEER, shall provide engineering services for the OWNER for said additional work in accordance with above said agreement. Said engineering services shall constitute Extra Services. By mutual agreement, consent, and benefit, the OWNER and ENGINEER do hereby modify and amend the above said agreement in the following manner: Page 2, paragraph 3.a., shall be revised as follows: 1. For preliminary Design - Phase 1 services as set forth in Eachibit "A," the lump sum fee shall be increased by $7,000.00, from $23,000.00 to $30,000.00. 2. For Fina1 Design - Phase 2 services as set forth in Exhibit "A," the lump sum fee shall be increased by $2,500.00, from $10,205.00 to $12,705.00. 3. For Construction Management - Phase 3 services as set forth in Exhibit "A," the contract amount shall be increased by $4,370.00 from $20,197.00 to $24,567.00. Payment for work accomplished shall be on the basis of ENGINEER'S actual cost plus a fixed fee as set forth in Exhibit "B" and shall be increased as follows: Actual costs incurred shall be increased by $3,970.00 from $17,907.00 to $21,877.00 The fixed fee shall be increased by $400.00 from $2,290.00 to $2,690.00. For Airport Property Map, and Runway Protection Zone Plans and Profiles drawing update and Noise Contour drawing - Phase 4 services as set forth in Exhibit "A", a lump sum fee notto exceed $6,000.00. Prepare an updated Airport Property Map on reproducible mylar using AutoCad release 11 and according to current FAA guidelines. Prepaze an updated Runway Protection Zone Plans and Profiles drawing on reproducible mylar using AutoCad release 11 and according to current FAA guidelines. 3. Prepare a list of modifications to current FAA design standards for the recently updated Airport Layout Plan Drawing. 4. Prepare a Noise Contour drawing on reproducible mylar using INM (Integrated Noise Model) and according to current FAA guidelines. In performing the above, it is understood and agreed that all other terms and conditions of the original agreement are still in effect. Finalize wark scope and schedule. 2. Assemble and review mapping, plans, documents and other available information. 3. Attend startup meeting with Airport staff and the FAA. 4. Perform a site inspection and analysis. 5. Analyze condition of existing electrical components and power systems and the need for replacement or upgrading. 6. Review previous geotechnical and pavement design information. 7. Evalwate local conditions: a. Inventory local matesial suppliers, sources and capabilities. b. Evaluate pavement conditions. c. Review elearical lighting layouts and doermine system capacities. 8. Review and evaluate project layout. a. Verify master plan dimensions and data. b. Review findings and recommendations with the airport personnel. 9. Compleze preliminary lighting plaas and power and control cirwitry plans. 10. Provide recommendations for coauruction phasing. 11. Finalize construction contract plans, specifications, contract conditions and associated forma. 3. Complete final quanaty calailations. 4. Solicit City and FAA review and approval. S. Publish 35 sets of contracx documents. 6. Assist City with advertising and interpretation of project requiremeats. 7. Assist with pre-bid conference and bid opening. Issue addenda, prepare an abstract of bids and make recommendations for awazd. 8. Assisi City with prepazation of the FAA applic,ation. . Phgse 3 - Constnution Servicrs 1.
