MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, August 12, 2008

A. Call to Order - Chairperson Ken Bradford
B. Review of June lOth, 2008 Minutes. Motion by Fred Helser and second by Greg
Dobson to accept June 10t', 2008 Minutes.
C. Old Business:
Contracts - The City currently allows property to be purchased with a minimum
of 10% down and 24 months of payments. It has been proposed to City Council
that this option be discontinued. New cemetery software would require additional
tracking capabilities for the Finance Department. Finance currently monitors
contracts and their payments. We propose to offer the option to families of
holding a plot for 30 days at no cost.
Howard Fields Property - The Cemetery staff is currently maintaining the
grounds. The process of clearing out remaining articles continues. The property
is being considered for a training, controlled burn.
Staffing - The outdoor crew is at full-staff again. New Maintenance Worker's
David Partridge and Lars Lindh were introduced to the board.
D. New Business:
Budget - The 2009 cleared City Council with no issues. Included were funds to
repair the Mausoleum and Columbarium.
Cemetery Maintenance - Top caps on the Columbarium may be repaired with
granite instead of concrete. The small shop will receive a new roof soon.
E. Reports:
Budget Update - June 2008 had revenue of $45,000.00. July's revenue was
$75,000.00.
F. Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 2:40 PM.
