CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING
Meeting Minutes of February 12, 2008
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held February
12, 2008, in Resource Room #2 located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25
West Main Street, Auburn, WA. The following members were in attendance.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Dick Kammeyer, Chairman; Member; Chuck Booth, Member;
Cyril Van Selus, Member.
STAFF PRESENT: Assistant City Attorney, Joseph Beck; Sarah Borden, Civil Service
Examiner; Jim Kelly, Police Chief.
ACTION:
Chairman Kammeyer called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m.
Approval of the January 8, 2008 Civil Service meeting minutes.
• Minutes were accepted as written. Motion by Booth, Van Selus seconded.
Sarah Borden presented the new Entry Level Police Officer Civil Service List which
integrated the results of the previous oral board from Jan 25, 2008, 2008.
• Entry list was adopted as published. Motion by Van Selus, Booth seconded.
Sarah Borden presented the new Lateral Police Officer Civil Service List which
integrated the results of the previous oral board from January 8, 2008.
• Lateral list adopted as published. Motion by Kammeyer, Booth seconded.
Sarah Borden presented the new Parking Control Attendant List which integrated the
results of the previous oral board from January 29, 2008.
• Parking Control Attendant list adopted as published. Motion by Kammeyer,
Booth seconded.
Sarah Borden presented the new Sergeants Promotional Eligibility List which presented
the results from the testing process on January 17 & 18, 2008.
• Sergeants Promotional List adopted as published. Motion by Van Selus,
seconded by Booth.

POLICE DEPARTMENT
Sarah Borden presented the next written exam test date for entry level police as well as
the next scheduled oral boards.
Sarah Borden presented the number of conditional offers out to entry level police,
lateral police officer, and Parking Control Attendant candidates.
The promotional Commanders exam will be taking place in March 2008.
