ON COMMITTEES
December 4, 2006
I. Call to Order
Chair Rich Wagner called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM in Conference
Room 2 located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main
Street, Auburn, Washington.
Those in attendance included Chair Rich Wagner, Vice Chair Sue Singer
and Member Gene Cerino. City Clerk Danielle Daskam was also present.
II. 2007 City Council Committee Assignments
Committee members discussed assignments to Council Committees for
2007 and reviewed the recommended Committee assignments distributed
by Chair Wagner identified as Suggestions for 2007 Auburn City Council
Committee Structure revised December 2, 2006.
The following Committee assignments are suggested for 2007:
Planningand Community Development
Lynn Norman, Chair
Nancy Backus, Vice Chair
Rich Wagner, Member
Public Works
Rich Wagner, Chair
Roger Thordarson, Vice Chair
Bill Peloza, Member.
Finance
Nancy Backus, Chair
Roger Thordarson, Vice Chair

Municipal Services

The Public Works Committee meeting time will change to 2:30 p.m.
All other meeting dates and times will remain the same.
In addition, the following changes to Committee scope of
responsibility are recommended:
1. Municipal Services Committee responsibilities replaces
"Fire" with Regional Fire Authority Oversight" and adds
"Animal Control."
2. Finance will have primary responsibility for "City Real
Property", keeping the requirement to coordinate with other
appropriate committees.
3. Planning and Community Development Committee
responsibilities replaces "Library" with "King County Library
Oversight," adds Mary Olson Farm and changes "Multimedia
Services" to "Communications."
Vice Chair Singer moved and Member Cerino seconded to instruct
the City Clerk to prepare the necessary resolution to designate the
members and meeting times and days of all standing committees of
the City Council for 2007 with the recommended changes in scope
of responsibilities and recommend Sue Singer as Mayor Pro Tem
for consideration by the City Council at the December 18, 2006
meeting.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3-0.
III. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
