FINANCE COMMITTEE
July '15, 2002
MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Fred Poe called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM in Conference
Room 1 located on the first floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street,
Auburn.
Members present included: Chair Fred Poe, Member Gene Cerino, and
Councilmember Jeanne Barber who attended in the absence of Vice
Chair Trish Borden. Others present during the meeting included: Mayor
Peter B. Lewis, Assistant Finance Director Lee Hall, Human Resources
Director Brenda Heineman, City Attorney Daniel B. Held, and Deputy City
Clerk Cathy Richardson. The meeting was tape recorded.
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Minutes of the July 1, 2002 Finance Committee meetin.q.
Member Cerino moved and Councilmember Barber seconded to
approve the July 1, 2002 minutes.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3-0.
II1. CONSENT ITEMS

Claims check numbers 312260 through 312600 in the
amount of $1,460,052.42 and a wire transfer in the amount
of $512,561.47 and dated July 15, 2002.
2. Payroll

Payroll check numbers 500765 to 500964 in the amount of
$654,865.74 and electronic deposit transmissions in the

amount of $800,336.59 for a grand total of $1,455,202.33 for
the pay period covering June 28, 2002 to July 10, 2002.
Member Cerino moved and Councilmember Barber
seconded to approve the Consent Agenda.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3-0.
IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
A. Resolution No. 3501
A4.5.2
A Resolution of the City Council of the city of Auburn, Washington,
authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Technical
Services Agreement between the City of Auburn and SRI
Technologies, Inc. to procure temporary staff from July 16, 2002
and continue thereafter on an ongoing basis until terminated.
Motion by Member Cerino, second by Councilmember Barber to
approve Resolution No. 3501.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3-0.
V. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Quarterly Reports
Assistant Finance Director Hall distributed materials on the second
quarter of the 2002 Quarterly Reports.
Assistant Director Hall reviewed second quarter revenue and
expenditures in various funds, including general and proprietary
funds. Assistant Director Hall stated that the second quarter report
does not reflect budget amendments recently passed by Council.

VI. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Finance Committee,
the meeting adjourned at 6:43 PM.
