CALL TO ORDER Chair Fred Poe called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM in Room 2 located at Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA. Members present included Chair Poe, Vice Chair Jeanne Barber, and Member Gene Cerino. Others present during the meeting included: Mayor Peter B. Lewis, City Attorney Daniel B. Heid, Assistant Finance Director Lee Hall, Human Resoumes Director Brenda Heineman, and City Clerk Danielle Daskam. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A. Minutes of the January 21,2003 Finance Committee meetin~l. Vice Chair Barber moved and Member Cerino seconded to approve the minutes. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3-0. CONSENTITEMS A. Vouchers Claims F4.9.5 Claims check numbers 317634 through 317794 in the amount of $847,197.50 and claims check numbers 317795 through 318062 in the amount of $312,624.85 and dated January 21, 2003. Payroll F4,9.2 Payroll check numbers 503097 to 503254 in the amount of $284,377.30 and electronic deposit transmissions in the amount of $872,865.83 for a grand total of $1,157,243.13 for Page 1 Finance Committee Minutes February 3, 2003 IV. the pay period covering January 17, 2003 to January 29, 20O3. B. Surplus Property F4.6.1 Finance Department City Council to authorize the surplus and disposal of the following listed property: Two (2) Cabinets Cemetery City Council to authorize the surplus and trade-in of the following vehicle: VI N 1 FM DA41X6MZA82184 1991 Ford Aerostar Van Planning City Council to authorize the surplus and disposal of the following listed property: 1 typewriter 1 chair 1 table (2'X3') 1 glass front cabinet 1 metal paper storage cabinet 2 monitor stands 1 two drawer filing cabinet 3 wooden storage units Committee members reviewed the consent items. Members briefly discussed payments made on behalf of South King County Community Network. Vice Chair Barber moved and Member Cerino seconded to approve the consent items. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3-0. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS There were no ordinances or resolutions for Committee consideration. Page 2 Finance Committee Minutes February 3, 2003 VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS Alternatives to Incarceration Human Resources Director Heineman presented the Committee with copies of letters received from two participants in the Court's alternative to incarceration drug/alcohol treatment program. The individuals expressed their thanks to the City for the opportunity to participate in a rehabilitation program.
