CALL TO ORDER
Chair Fred Poe called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM in the Council
Conference Room located on the first floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West
Main Street, Auburn, Washington. Chair Poe, Vice Chair Jeanne Barber
and Member Gene Cerino were present. Staff members present during
the meeting were Mayor Peter B. Lewis, City Attorney Daniel B. Heid,
Human Resources Director Brenda Heineman, IS Administrator Lorrie
Rempher, and Deputy City Clerk Cathy Richardson. Also present were
Ms. Nancy Carr-Backus and Mr. Bill Peloza.

approve the May 5, 2003 minutes.

ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
Ordinance No. 5757
A3.11.1.5
An Ordinance of the City of Auburn, Washington, amending
Chapter 2.90 of the Auburn City Code relating to indemnification for
city officials, city employees and city volunteers.
Vice Chair Barber moved and Member Cerino seconded to
recommend approval of Ordinance No. 5757.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3-0.
Ordinance No. 5761
A4.5.1
An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn,
Washington, creating a new Section 2.03.100 of the Auburn City
Code, relating to Duties of the Mayor.
Vice Chair Barber moved and Member Cerino seconded to
recommend approval of Ordinance No. 5761.

Vice Chair Barber spoke in favor of Ordinance No. 5761.
City Attorney Heid stated that Ordinance No. 5761 provides for
those instances where a resolution is required to set a public
hearing and clarifies the processes for setting agendas and public
hearings.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3-0.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Committee, the
meeting adjourned at 6:48 PM.
