HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-23-2002-.4 HEARING EXAMINER MINUTES JANUARY 23, 2002 The meeting of the Auburn Hearing Examiner was held on January 23, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall. Those in attendance were as follows: HEARING EXAMINER: Diane L. VanDerbeek STAFF: Lynn Rued and Patti Zook Ms. VanDerbeek called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. explaining the order of procedures and swore in staff and those in the audience i9. tending on testifying. PUBLIC HEARINGS: APPLICATION NO. PLT00-0004, PUD00-0001 and SHR00-0004 Request of CamWest Development for a preliminary plat and planned unit development of 118 single family detached on 20.92 acres. Request also for a shorelines substantial development permit to allow the development of a stormwater infiltration pond and park space. The subject site is located in the 3200-3300 block of 'T' Street NE (if extended). To be continued to February meeting. Hearing Examiner continued the hearing on to the February meeting. 2. APPLICATION NO. REZ01-0001 Hearing Examiner opened the public hearing. LR presented the staffreport. Kawasaki Limited Parmership haS requested to rezone a portion of a parcel from R-4, Multi Family to C-3, Heavy Commercial. The subject site is located east of 42xx Auburn Way North. The Comprehensive Plan map was amended last year to allow heavy commercial use. The request is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and zoning. No conditions are imposed. No one from the public was in attendance. The applicant's representative, R.W. Goodwin, real estate agent, was present. He did not present testimony. John Powers, property owner, appeared and requested approval of the rezone. Hearing Examiner closed the public hearing and indicated that she will recommend approval of the rezone. The written decision will be issued within 10 days. APPEAL HEARING: CASE NO. HAP01-0002 Concemed Citizens of Auburn have filed an appeal of the issuance of a Determination of Non-Significance regarding a Zoning Code amendment. The appellant submitted a letter withdrawing their appeal. Hearing Examiner struck this from the agenda.
