HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-15-2002 - Minutes - MUNICIPAL SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING April 15, 2002 PRESENT: Councilmembers Singer, Wagner and Brothers; Pete Lewis, Mayor; City of Auburn Staff: Jim Kelly and Bob Lee, Police; Russ Vandver, Fire; Dan Heid, Legal; John Anderson, Airport; Gary Bolster, Hangars Unlimited; John Voday, NW Hangars; Michael Hart, Citizen. Minutes of the meeting were tape recorded and are available for review for six (6) years from the date of the meeting. Please submit items for the agenda no later than 5p.m. the Wednesday prior to a meeting so packets can be assembled and distributed Thursday afternoon. Call to Order Sue Singer, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM. Approval of Minutes The minutes of the previous meetings were approved as written. Consent Ordinance 5651 - New Auburn City Code Chapter 5.22 - Provides for multi-family residential complex business license and crime free strategies. Moved to pass, seconded and approved, with change in wording for 5.22.130 (see below). 5.22.130 Nonexclusive enforcement. The City's action to enforce one provision of this Chapter or to pursue one avenue of enforcement shall not preclude the City from enforcing any other provision of this Chapter and~or from pursuing any other avenue of enforcement, and the Mayor or designated City official is entitled to use any methods or processes available under the law to enforce the requirements hereof Addendum No. 1 to contract w/S. M. Stemper (re-roofing) - Accept addendum. Moved to pass, seconded, and approved. Resolution 3455 - Accept resolution to extend agreement for the housing of inmates in the Yakima County Jail for the year 2002. Moved to pass, seconded, and approved. Resolution 3364 (Agenda Modification) - Accept addendum to modify Hangars Unlimited Lease. Moved to pass, seconded, and approved. Municipal Services Meeting April 15, 2002 Page I Discussion PD Reorganization/request for Program Improvement - Additional Police Officer. - Item pulled from agenda for this meeting. Ordinance No. 5658 - Noise Control (Agenda Modification) - There was a lengthy discussion on the changes made to this ordinance. The Committee decided this issue will be brought up as a consent item at the next meeting. Adjournment Chairperson Sue Singer adjourned the meeting at 6:05 p.m. Next regular meeting is Monday, May 6, 2002, at 5:00 PM in Meeting Room 3. Submitted by, Sara J.
