CALL TO ORDER, 3:30 PM, CONFERENCE ROOM NO. 3 Chairman Gene Cerino called the meeting to order at 3;34 p.m. in Conference Room 3, located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main Street, Auburn, Washington. Members present: Chairman Gene Cerino, Vice Chair Bill Peloza, Member Lynn Norman. Staff Present: Chief of Police Jim Kelly, Assistant Chief of Police Larry Miller, City Attorney Dan Heid, Public Works Director Dennis Dowdy, Airport Manager Jamelle Garcia, Projects/Construction Manager Steve Burke, Transportation Manager Tiffin Goodman, IS representative Colin Schmalz and Police Secretary Kathy Emmert. Also present: Auburn Reporter representative Robert Whale. II. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS Addition of 111.13.1 - Approval of final airport hangar roof repair project III. CONSENT ITEMS A. Approval of Minutes 1. Minutes of the November 10, 2008, Municipal Services Committee Meeting Vice Chair Peloza moved to approve and accept the minutes of the November 10, 2008 meeting. Member Norman seconded. Chair Cerino concurred. MOTION CARRIED: 3-0 B. Contract Administration 1. Auburn Airport North Hanger Repair Project No. MS0802 Final Payment - Repair of hanger roof leaks and installation of 20 turbine roof ventilators at 2 hanger buildings located at Auburn airport The project was completed on schedule and under budget. Vice Chair Peloza moved to forward to the full City Council for approval. Member Norman seconded. Chair Cerino concurred. Ordinance No. 6210 * (Dowdy) An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, amending Section 10.12.125 of the Auburn City Code relating to speed limits in school zones Following an explanation of the.modification to the existing ordinance Vice Chair Peloza moved to forward to the full City Council for approval. Member Norman seconded. Chair Cerino concurred. MOTION CARRIED: 3-0 B. Resolutions V. INFORMATION / DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Ordinance No. 6216*(Kelly) An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, amending Chapter 9.30 of the Auburn City Code relating to false alarms The committee reviewed proposed language and agreed to review an amended version of the ordinance at the next meeting. B. SCORE Update'" (Coleman) The committee was updated on the SCORE project. C. Airport Update/Information * (Coleman) Airport Manager Jamelle Garcia briefed the committee on the installation and use of the new security camera and lighting at the airport. The City received grants covering most of the costs related to these improvements. D. Matrix No changes to the Matrix. VI.
