CALL TO ORDER 4:00 PM, CONFERENCE ROOM NO. 3 Chairman Gene Cerino called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. in Conference Room 3, located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main Street, Auburn, Washington. Members present: Chairman Gene Cerino, Vice Chair Bill Peloza, Member Virginia Haugen. Staff present: Mayor Peter Lewis, Chief of Police Jim Kelly, Finance Director Shelley Coleman, Ci#y Attorney Dan Heid, Assoc. City Attorney Allison Stanhope, Facilities Manager Lisa Torres, Parks Director Daryl Faber, Employee Rel./Comp. Manager John Fletcher, Risk Manager Rob Roscoe, Airport Manager Jamelle Garcia and Police Investigations Secretary Kathy Divelbiss. Others present: General Manager Airwork LLC Nick DuBay, Robert Whale from Auburn Reporter and Wayne Osborne a representative of the community. II. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS A modified copy of Ordinance No. 6229 was brought to the Committee. 111. CONSENT ITEMS A. Approval of Minutes 1. Minutes of the March 23, 2009 Municipal Services Committee Meeting Vice Chair Peloza moved to accept the Minutes of the March 23, 2009 meeting. Member Haugen seconded. Chair Cerino concurred. MOTION CARRIED: 3-0 IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS A. Ordinance No. 6234 (Heineman) An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington amending Chapter 9.54 of the Auburn City Code relating to malicious mischief and graffiti violations. Vice Chair Peloza moved to accept Ordinance No. 6234 with corrections, Member Haugen seconded and Chair Cerino concurred. MOTION CARRIED: 3-0 Page 1 ` t P . Municipal Services Minutes April 13, 2009 V. INFORMATION / DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Ordinance No. 6229 (Faber) An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, creating a new Chapter 2.96 of the Auburn City Code relating to the Auburn International Farmers' Market Advisory Board. The Committee supports this Ordinance. B. Resolution No. 4465 (Coleman) A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, approving and adopting an identity theft prevention program. The Committee supports this Resolution. C. Resolution No. 4469 (Heid) A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, . authorizing the City to expend funds to abate the litter, debris and junk nuisance at 2115 Elm St. SE, in the City of Auburn, Washington and authorizing abatement. The Committee supports this Resolution and,agreed that it should move forward to Council. D. Animal Control Addendum (Heineman) The Committee supports the Animal Control Addendum. E. Helicopter Activities/Auburn Municipal Airport (Garcia) The Committee and guests discussed this at length and agreed to keep working together to find an amicable solution to noise problems. F. Matrix Item 24P - Chair Cerino requested a Fireworks update on June 22. VI. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 p.m. Approved this day of April, 2009.
