MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER 4:00 PM, CONFERENCE ROOM NO. 3
Chairman Gene Cerino called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. in Conference
Room 3, located on the second floor or Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main Street,
Auburn, Washington. Members present: Chairman Gene Cerino, Member
Virginia Haugen. Members Absent (excused): Vice Chair Bill Peloza. Staff
present: Mayor Peter Lewis, Deputy Chief of Police Bob Lee, City Attorney Dan
Heid, VRFA Fire Marshall Jeff Stottlemyre, Police Secretary Kathy Emmert.

A. Approval of Minutes
1. Minutes of the April 27, 2009 Municipal Services Committee
Meeting
Member Haugen moved to accept the Minutes of the April 27, 2009
meeting. Chair Cerino concurred.
MOTION CARRIED: 2-0
IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
V. INFORMATION / DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Auburn City Code 6.35 - Dangerous Dog Ordinance*(Kelly)
A general discussion addressing potential adjustments to the current
Ordinance occurred with City Attorney Heid to provide draft language
enhancements at the next Committee meeting.
B. Auburn City Code 8.24 - Fireworks Ordinance*(Kelly)
There was a general discussion addressing the potential adjustments to
the current Ordinance. No adjustments will be made for 2009 however,
the Committee will be reviewing options with input from the VRFA Fire

Marshall, Police and City Attorney Heid. Any changes to the Ordinance
will not be effective until at least 2010.
C. Matrix*
The Matrix will be adjusted to reflect the "hotline" telephone number for
graffiti abatement.

The meeting adjourned at 5:05 p.m.
