The plaza area is considered to be that area between the Kiss & Ride parking lot and the north side of the Auburn Station Parking Garage bordered on the west by the platform and on the east by the sidewalk along A Street Southwest. Sound Transit agrees that the City of Auburn, at the City's sole expense, may remove the vegetation in the twenty-three (23) plaza planting areas, retain the trees and replace the existing vegetation with sod. All work on this project will be performed by the City's Parks Department. The City of Auburn will also bear the responsibility and expense of maintaining the sod throughout the term of the lease, ensuring that the grass within the landscape area remains well manicured and healthy. Regular maintenance of the planting areas will be performed by the City's Park Department.
