The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. Those in attendance
were Mayor Booth, Committee Chairman Rich Wagner,
Council/Committee member Pat Burns, and Council/Committee member
Don Kurle. Staff in attendance were Public Works Director Frank
A. Currie, City Engineer Dennis Dowdy, Traffic Engineer Steve
Mullen , Civil Engineer-Transportation Nick Afzali, and Senior
Planner Bob Sokol. Guests in attendance were Mary McCumber of
the Puget Sound Regional Council and John Raeder of the Chamber
of Commerce.
ISSUES
A. RESOLUTION NO. 2485 - AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH KCM, INC. RELATING TO PR
526, 1993 STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS (SUBBASIN F
DESIGN)
The Resolution was introduced by City Engineer Dennis
Dowdy. Council/Committee member Pat Burns made the
motion to recommend approval to the City Council.
Council/Committee member Don Kurle seconded the motion
and Committee Chairman Rich Wagner concurred.
B. RESOLUTION NO. 2486 - INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH KING
COUNTY FOR PROVISION OF THE COMMUTE TRIP REDUCTION
(CTR) ACT OF 1991
The Resolution was introduced by City Engineer Dennis
Dowdy. Committee Chairman Rich Wagner asked about
Section 1.3 under City Tasks, Exhibit 'A', and there
followed a discussion regarding parking in the downtown
Auburn area. Council/Committee member Pat Burns made a
motion that the City Council adopt the Resolution. The
motion was seconded by Council/Committee member Don
Kurle and Committee Chairman Rich Wagner concurred.
C. RESOLUTION NO. 2487 - RELEASE OF UTILITY EASEMENT ON
SECOND STREET N.E. LYING BETWEEN N. DIVISION STREET AND
'A' STREET N.E. WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN
City Engineer Dennis Dowdy introduced the Resolution to
release the easement. Committee Chairman Rich Wagner
questioned if this was necessary, and requested more
information. The Resolution to be tabled until the
next Committee meeting.

A. UTILITY BILL ADJUSTMENT ON ACCOUNT #5.03.1200 TO AUBURN
MANOR MOBILE HOME PARK IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTEEN
THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE DOLLARS AND SIXTY-
THREE CENTS ($15,465.63) AND TO ACCOUNT #3.42.3360 TO
AUBURN SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE AMOUNT OF THIRTEEN
THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY-TWO DOLLARS AND SEVENTY-
FIVE CENTS ($13,842.75)
B. AWARD BID FOR PR 507 - TO R.W. SCOTT CONSTRUCTION ON
THEIR LOW BID OF TWO MILLION ELEVEN THOUSAND SIX
HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX DOLLARS AND SIX CENTS
($2,011,666.06), CONTRACT 93-14, AUBURN WAY SOUTH, 4TH
STREET S.E. TO SR 18/BNRR
A brief discussion of Consent items A and B was held.
Being satisfied with the response, the Committee
recommended approval of Consent items A and B to the
Council at their February 22 meeting.
INFORMATION OR DISCUSSION
A. MARY MCCUMBER OF THE PUGET SOUND REGIONAL COUNCIL WILL
BE PRESENTING A 20-MINUTE VIDEO. THE SUBJECT IS
REGIONAL VIEW VISION. 2020 UPDATE AND METROPOLITAN
TRANSPORTATION PLAN
Mary McCumber, Executive Director of the Puget Sound
Regional Council, spoke about the goals and timetable
for Vision 2020 and presented a video.
ADJOURN
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
