Home My WebLink About06-20-1994PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MINUTES JUNE 20, 1994 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5:45 p.m. Those in attendance were Committee Chairman Rich Wagner, Council/Committee member Don Kurle and Council/Committee member Pat Bums. Staff in attendance were Public Works Director Frank A. Currie, City Engineer Dennis Dowdy, Senior Engineer Dennis Selle, Traffic Engineer Steve Mullen, and Utilities Engineer Dwight Holobaugh. Guest in attendance was Ken Kinared of the Chamber of Commerce. ISSUES 1. RESOLLFrlON NO. 2530, PAYBACK AGREE1ViENT WITH FINKBEINER DEVF-I-OPMENT City Engineer Dennis Dowdy presented the Payback Agreement which would allow the Developer to recapture costs for the Lea Hill lift station and force main. Council/Committee member Pat Bums, being satisfied with the response, made the motion for approval to the Council at their June 20, 1994 meeting, seconded by Council/Committee member Don Kurle. The motion was passed unanimously. 2. RESOLUTION NO. 2532, DEVELOPER/LOCAL AGENCY AGREEMENT 3. RESOLUTION NO. 2533, DEVELOPER/LOCAL AGENCY AGREEMENT City Engineer Dennis Dowdy introduced Resolution Nos. 2532 and 2533, which is an Agreement between WSDOT and Hapsmith Corporation, to work within the right-of- way. Council/Committee member Pat Bums, being satisfied with the response, made the motion for approval of Resolution Nos. 2532 and 2533 to the Council at their June 20, 1994 meeting, seconded by Council/Committee member Don Kurle. The motion was passed unanimously. 4. ORDINANCE NO. 2534 CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 1995- 2000 SIX-YEAR STR~-PT PROGRAM City Engineer Dennis Dowd presented Resolution No. 2534, calling for the public hearing to be held on July 1~, 1994. Council/Committee member Pat Bums made a motion for approval to the Council at their June 6, 1994 meeting, seconded by Council/Committee member Don Kurle. The motion was passed unanimously. REVIEW AND DISCUSS INPUT FROM THE MAY 23, 1994 PUBLIC MEETING HELD TO PRIORITIZE CEITEKIA FOR AUBURN'S 6-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PLAN Senior Engineer Dennis Stile continued the discussion from the June 6, 1994 meeting. A general discussion followed and Committee members asked for more information to be pressured at the June 27, 1994 meeting. 2. DISCUSSION OF PROPOSED FUTURE LID'S Due to the lack of time, this item was not discussed. To be continued at the June 27, 1994 meeting. 3. INFORMATION ON WATER UTILITY CHANGE IN "PLACE OF USE" APPLICATION Due to the lack of time, this item was not discussed. To be continued at the June 1994 meeting. 4.
