REVISED MINUTES
L C~LL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. Those in attendance were Committee
Chairman Rich Wagner, Council/Committee member Don Kude and Council/Committee
member Pat Bums. Staff in attendance were Public Works Director Frank A. Curfie, City
Engineer Dennis Dowdy, and, Utility Planning Engineer Nass Diallo, Utilities Engineer
Dwight Holobaugh, Traffic Engineer Steve Mullen, and Finance Director Victor
Thompso~ Guest in attendance was Ken Kinaid of Henderson Homes.
ISSUES
A. RESOLUTION ORDINANCE NO. 4734 -APPROVING FEDERAL ISTEA
GRANT FUND AGREEMENT FOR SIGNAL AT "A' STREET SE AND 29
STREET SE
City Engineer Dennis Dowdy presented Resolution No. 4734 approving the
Federal Grant Agreement. Being satisfied with the presentation, the Public Works
Committee agreed to present the Resolution, as proposed, at the next scheduled
City Council meeting on April 3, 1995.
B. RESOLUTION NO. 2625 - CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
STREET VACATION, V-04-94, OF THE ALLEY SOUTH OF EAST MAIN
STREET AND EAST OF 'D' STREET SE, WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN
City Engineer Dennis Dowdy explained the public hearing for street vacation
V-04-94.
The Public Works Committee recommended approval of the public hearing at the
next City Council meeting on April 3, 1995.

ACCOUNT #5.03.1080 IN THE AMOUNT OF NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS
TWO HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR DOLLARS AND THIRTY CENTS
(S9,244.30) TO CERRITOS INVESTMENTS, FOR ACCOUNT #5.03.1140 IN
THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-SIX
DOLLARS AND EIGHTY-FOUR CENTS ($3,826.84) TO CERRITOS
INVESTMENTS, ACCOUNT #3.61.0640 IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE

City Engineer Dennis Dowdy and the Public Works Director Frank A. Curfie led
the discussion concerning the utility bill adjustments.
The Public Works Committee recommended approval to the City Council at the
April 3, 1995 meeting.
B. RIGHT-OF-WAY USE APPLICATION #03-95 FROM AUBURN
DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION FOR A SPRING AUTO SHOW
Consent Item B of this agenda was withdrawn.
IV. INFORMATION OR DISCUSSION
A. PR 511 SIGNAL INTERCONNECT tIPDATE
Traffic Engineer Steve Mullen gave a detailed status report of progress of the
Signal Interconnect project. The estimated completion is !ate April 1995 to mid-
May 1995.
B. CAPITAL STATUS REPORT
City Engineer Dennis Dowdy presented the status report. A general discussion
was held concerning PR 505, PR 513 and PR 548. Response to the Public Works
Committee was requested on scheduling and the completion of PR 548.
C. FINAL ASSESSMENT INFORMATION ON 37TH STREET LID 341, PR 502
City Engineer Dennis Dowdy distributed the proposed schedule and updated the
Public Works Committee on the combined bonding of projects. Finance Director
Victor Thompson concurred with the procedure and the process will begin.
D. WATER ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN - INTERTIFfS
Utilities Planning Engineer Nass Diallo and Utilities Engineer Dwight Holobaugh
presented a brief overview on the benefits of the intertie section of the
Comprehensive Plan. The next Public Works Committee meeting will discuss the
CIP portion of the Water Comprehensive Plan.

V. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Public Works Committee, the meeting was
adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
