PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MINUTES April 1, 1996 :PAGE 2 OF Considerations: 1. Our street preservation funds normally average about $100,000 to 200,000 annually. 2. This years amount available in ISTEA represents the City's allocation for four years (1993,1996,1997,and 1998). By spending the funds in advance, it is understood that the City will not receive additional ISTEA funds in 1997 and 1998. 3. In order to receive this level of federal support ($433,000), the City will be spending out of the 102 fund a local match of about $108,000. 4. A follow up presentation of the City's strategy for future street maintenance will address needs and funding alternatives. 5. Only designated arterials on the Federal Urban Aide Map are eligible for ISTEA funds. ,-. The meeting adjourned prior to 7:00pm.
