A. Review Updated Work Plan
The Work Plan was updated with the changes discussed at the March meeting. The
events are noted on the work plan, and we will discuss scheduling when other members
are present. We will also see about getting articles in the Auburn Reporter, either as a
new item or on the Auburn page.
B. Review and Choose Significant Tree for Recognition
Board members were asked to nominate significant trees for recognition., Trees should
be on private property so that we can recognize the owners and stewards and for their
care in caring for these trees. We need pictures of the trees; we can discuss this next
month. One tree was mentioned, the sequoia at 102 D Street. We can arrange for a
plaque similar to the one we purchased last year.
C. Plan Arbor Day Participation
Arbor Day is on April 12th; the planting will take place in the north end of Les Gove Park.
The Garden Club has purchased a Triumph Elm tree (which was replaced with a Morgan
Elm tree when it was picked up by Kirk). The Mayor will make some comments and
representation from BLM will represent Tree City USA.
