PRAB Conference Room
I. Call to Order
Len Elliott, Lonnie Sundahl and Marion Nancarrow were present; Trish Borden was absent. Also in
attendance were Parks Planning and Development Manager Dan Scamporlina, City Horticulturalist Kirk
Hadley, and Secretary Ann Fuqua.
II. Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as written.
III. Correspondence/Public Input
Dan reported that he has had two calls requesting information about planting ~~the right tree in the
right place".
IV. Old Business
A. Significant Tree Update
Preparation for recognizing another significant tree will get scheduled for Council
approval.
B. KidsDay Update
Members discussed their KidsDay participation and decided that this may not be the best venue
for getting out information to the right people. We may want to rethink future participation.
C. July 4th Planning
It was decided that Mr. Elliott and Ms. Sundal will participate with the information booth at the
July 4th celebration. The Board would like to see a Les Gove "tree walk" at this event.
V. New Business
Mr. Elliott and Ms. Sundal requested that the Board have a presence at Auburn Good 01' Days on
August 10, 11, and 12. This will be a good time to reach a number of people.
We are still in need of another member to the Board.
