Regular meeting of the City Counci I of the City of Auburn, held at 8:00 p. m. in
the Counci I Chambers at the City Hal I.
The meeting was cal led to order by Mayor Shaughnessy.
Counci Imen present: Aaby, Lea, Kammeyer, Fitzsimmons, Sonnemann, Knechtel, and
Gaines.
Minutes of the previous meeting held March 18, 1963 were approved as mai led.

TRANSFER ORDERS #494 & 495
The fol lowing Transfer orders were read to the Counci I for their consideration.
Transfer Order #494 would transfer from the Parking Meter Fund to the Current Expense
Fund the sum of sixteen thousand and no/IOO dollars to meet requirements of 1963 budget.
Transfer order #495 would transfer from the Parking Meter Fund to the Street Fund the
sum of four thousand and no/rOO dollars to meet requirements of 1963 budget.
It was moved by lea and seconded by Sonnemann that the Counci I approve Transfer
Orders #494 & 495 as presented by the City Clerk.

It was moved by Lea and seconded by Kammeyer that the City Clerk be instructed
to cal I for bids for grading, construction of concrete curb and gutter, graveling and
aspha t paving on "F" Street N.E. between 7th Street N. E. and 8th Street N.E.; 14th
Street S.E. between "B" Street S.E. and "c" Street S.E.; 5th Street N.E. between
"H" Street N.E. and the City Ball Park, bids to be opened at 4:00 p. m., Monda",
Apri r 15, 1963, speci fications to be obtained from the office of the City Engineer; all
bids to be in writing, addressed to the Mayor and City Counci I of the City of Auburn,
and to be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the bid price.

It was moved by Lea and seconded by Sonnemann that the bid on the Mower for the
Street Department be turned over to the Street Committee for consideration, and that
the Mayor appoint another member to the committee, and the committee be given power to
act.

Mayor Shaughnessy appointed Counci Iman Aaby to the Street Committee as an
additional member to consider the Mower bid, and the committee was given power to act.

Counci Iman Kammeyer requested Mayor Shaughnessy cal I a special meeting of the
Counci I to consider the awarding of bids on the Trunk Sewer line.
Mayor Shaughnessy called a special meeting of the City Counci I at 12:00 p. m.,
Wednesday, Apr i I 3, 1963.

permission to attend a juveni Ie control training meeting in Spokane May, 1963.

the jail facility be rejected due to changes in specifications.

Water Works Convention in Eugene, Oregon on the 17th, 18th & 19th of Apri I.

Water Superintendent, permission to attend the American Water Works Convention in
Eugene, Oregon on the above mentioned dates.

"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DECLARING A PUBLIC EMERGENCY TO EXIST
AND REQUIRING THE APPROPRIATION OF $2,100.00 FROM "UNBUDGETED FUNDS" IN THE "CURRENT
EXPENSE FUND" OF THE CITY, TO PROVIDE NECESSARY FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PARKING
FACILITY FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES AND FOR THE RENTAL OF SAID
