I Mayor Gaines declared the publ ie hearing open on the request of Lor"en Pavne to
rezone from R-2 (residential. sinale fami Iv) to f-3 (Residential duplex) property located

at 12th and Harvev Road.
The Auburn Planning Commission recomme~ded this rezone be granted.
Wi I lard Horn owner of property adjoining the Payne property, stated he was
opposed to the rezoning.
!t was moved by Calkins and seconded by Sonnemann that the public hearing be c'~sed.

The minutes of the ~ubUrn Planning CommissIon were read concern;ng the reQuest of
loren Payne to rezone.
It was moved by lea and seconded by Aaby that the request of Loren Payne to tC70ne
from h-2 (Fesident:al. single faMi Iyì to F-3 (residential duplex) property locate?:! at
!2th and Harvey Road be tabled unt!' the Counei 1 has time to faMi liarize themselves with
this rezoning.

The Counci 1 received a request signed by LaVer"ne G. and John R. Bocek to circulate t:.
a petition for annexation of property adjoining the South and Fast City Limits between theL::;
Enumclaw Highway and Stuck River.
It was moved by Sonnemann and seconded by Calkins that LaVerne G. and John" Bocek be
granted permission to circulate a petition for annexation of property adjoining the South
and East City Limits between the rnumclaw Highway and Stuck river, the petition to state
that said area, if annexed by the City of Auburn, wi 1 I assume its proratò portion of the
existing bonded indebtedness of the City of Auburn.

Water-Sewer Construction Fund.
,. Puget Sound Power & Light, the amount of $531.44 for installation of pole and
transformers.
It was moved by Fitzsimmons and seconded by Sonnemann that Puget Sound Power & Light
be paid $531.44 from the Water-Sewer Construction Fund for installation of pole and
transformers.

$5,013.95 from the Water-Sewer Construction Fund for engineering and inspection Lea Hi' I
Water System.

The fol lowing invoices and vouchers were submitted for approval of payment from the
L.I.D. #155 Fund.
I. Val ley Cement Finishing Company, the amount of $258.96 for construction of extruded I
curb on parking lot next to Wi lIners.
It was moved by Lea and seconded bv Kline that Valley Cement Finishing Company be
paid $258.96 from the L.I .D. #155 rund for construction of extruded curb on parking lot
next to Wi liners.

Mayor Gaines referred this petition to the rngineering and Planning Department.
The Counci I received a request for fire hydrants on M Street Southeast between
12th Street Southeast and Enumclaw Highway, signed bv 16 residents of the area.

Mayor Gaines referred this request to the 'Nater-Sewer Committee.
The Counci I received a request from the White Shrine for permission to erect a stand
and sell fireworks in the City of A.uburn.
Mayor Gaines referred this request to the License Committee.

The Counci I received a letter from the Park Board in which they stated their dcsire
to obtain the old disposal plant.

N,ayor Gaines referred this letter to the Water-Sewer Committee.
The recommendation of the Auburn Plannina Commission that the reqU(~5t of Hugh Goldsmith
and Associates for approval of the plat of Forest Ridge be approved subiect to minimum
cul-de-sac requirements as specified b" the Street Committee and City rngineer was read.
Mayor Gaines referred this matter to the ~ngineering Department and the Citv Attorney.

Ernest Boyce stated he was opposed to the annexation of Fast Auburn Garden Tracts,
and submitted a petition, containing approximately 100 signatures, against this annexation.
Art Strathde0 stated he was opposed to this annexation.
