HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-10-1972 348 AUBURN, WASHINGTON MONDAY APRIL 10, 1972 Mayor Kersey called the continued meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The Council considered and discussed the matter of a proposed resolution. Jim Kors was present to explain the proposal on burning ban. It was moved by Shaughnessy, seconded by Holman, that the City Attorney prepare resolution. Mayor Kersey declared a ten minute recess for the resolution to be prepared. It was unanimously approved by the Council that Resolution No. 514 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CALLING UPON THE PUGET SOUND AIR POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY TO REPEAL THAT PORTION OF THE PRESENT BAN ON ALL OUTDOOR BURNING OF NATURAL VEGETATION AND, FURTHER, CALLING ON SAID AGENCY TO AUTHORIZE PERMITS TO BE ISSUED FOR ANY SUCH BURNING I SUBJECT TO REASONABLE CONTROLS THAT MAY BE ADOPTED BY LOCAL JURISDICTIONS." be adopted. . There being no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Kersey adjourned the meeting at 8:55 P.M.
