C1J.LL TO ORDER '1'he meeting ,,¡as called to order by Mayor f..ersey. ROLL CALL councilmen present: Councilman Cavey, Sonnemann, Darling, Holman, Fiedler and Lea. Cò~ncilman Shaughnessy excused. APPROVAL OF MINUTES It was moved by Fiedler, seconded by Holman, that the Minutes of July 3, 1972, be approved as mailed. PUBLIC HEARINGS The Ci ty Clerk, Cene P¡illiams, read letters from Mrs. Edi th B. Clark of 2015 Elm S.E. and John G. and Hildegarde Olson of 2905 B St. S.E. regarding their opposition to LIDs 254, 255 and 256. Nayor Kersey asked if anyone in the audi'ence objected to consolidating the three LIDs into one Public Hearing. No objections were voiced. It was moved by Fiedler, seconded by Holman, that LIDs 254, 255 and 256 be" consolidated into one Public Hearing Mayor Kersey declared Public Hearing open on the final assessment roll for LIDs 254, 255 ~nd 256, covering respectively street, sanitary sewer and underground utility construction on 29th Street S. E. from "A" to "R" Streets'S. E. l1rs. Edith B. Clark stated that the City did not: record 't..t"1e deed for the 20 feet of land in front of her home and she 'also feels the ci ty has nòt properly measured and checked out her land or repaired the fence very well. Mr. John C. Olson stated that he lives on a limited income and does not know how he will pay the City and Mr. Theodore W. Christénsen of J08 29th S.E. wanted to know what the City would do about a drainage problem that drains into his basement and- "¡onde:J:ed why he could not llave a cash discount when paying the Ci ty in cash. It ~¡as moved by Fiedler, seconded by Sonnemann, that the Public Hearing be closed. MOTION CARRIED It was moved by Sonnemann, seconded by Fiedler, that the final assessment roll for LID 254 be confirmed and approveà, subject to rechecking Mrs. Clarks' problems, and the City Attorney be instructed to draw up the necessary ordinance. ROLL CALL VOTE: All Councilmen voting YES. MOTION CARRIED It was moved by Sonnemann, seconded by Fiedler, that the final assessment roll for L¡D 255 be confirmed and approved and the City Attorney be instructed to draY up the necessary ordinance. Bridge and including a time extension of 15 working days to the contract. It was moved by Sonnemann, seconded by Cavey, that Change Order No. 5 to M. A.
