Mrs. Fenster directed her comments to the map of the proposed

Mayor Roegner suggested those wishing to annex their property into
the city limits of Auburn meet with Planning Director Steve Lancaster
Motion by Councilmember Burns, second by Councilmember Borden to
close the public hearing.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 7-0.
Planning Director Steve Lancaster responded to the concerns raised
during the public hearing. Referring to the two Auburn residents who
want to annex their property, Mr. Lancaster pointed out that both
residents do not abut the proposed annexation area, and the area they
are referring to is an area where a petition was circulated, but failed
to have a sufficient number of signatures to go further in the
annexation process.
With regard to the Mrs. Fenster's question, Mr. Lancaster stated the
annexation map illustrates a former river channel as it is recorded on
the plat which is not part of the annexation. He indicated the access
easement is from 2nd Street Southeast and is not affected by the
annexation. Mr. Lancaster will be available after this meeting to
discuss annexation questions further.
