Introduction The special meeting of the Auburn City Council to discuss the Water Resource Allocation Issue was called to order at 5:35 PM in the Council Chambers located in City Hall. Mayor Charles A. Booth and the following Councilmembers were present: Stacey Brothers, Pete Lewis, Jeanne Barber, Fred Poe, Sue Singer, and Rich Wagner. Councilmember Trish Borden arrived at 5:36 PM. Staff members present included: Planning and Community Development Director Paul Krauss, City Attorney Michael J. Reynolds, Parks and Recreation Director Dick Deal, Public Works Director Christine Engler, City Engineer Dennis Dowdy. Also present was Tom Mortimer, the City's legal counsel regarding water rights. II. Water Resource Allocation Issue City Attorney Michael Reynolds requested executive session for approximately 45 minutes to discuss proposed litigation. Mr. Reynolds further requested that Public Works Director Christine Engler, Planning and Community Development Director Paul Krauss, City Engineer Dennis Dowdy, and the City of Auburn Water Rights Attorney Tom Mortimer be present for executive session. Mr. Reynolds stated that action may be taken upon conclusion of executive session. Mayor Booth ,recessed the meeting to executive session at 5:38 PM for approximately 45 minutes. Mayor Booth reconvened the meeting at 6:59 PM. Councilmember Wagner moved that the reliability criteria for water supply in the area south of the White River be modified to one days supply with the largest City of Auburn Council Meetin.cl Minutes June 12, 2000 source out of service and that this policy change have a period of expiration of one year from today. Ms. Engler clarified that the stand-by storage should be reduced to one day at maximum day demand above the valley pressure zone. Councilmember Poe seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 7-0. III. Adjournment There being no further discussion, the meeting adjourned at 7:00 PM.
