SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Peter B. Lewis called the special meeting of the City Council to
order at 4:45 p.m. Mayor Lewis and the following Councilmembers were
present: Rich Wagner, Gene Cerino, Nancy Backus, Bill Peloza, Roger
Thordarson, and Lynn Norman. Councilmember Sue Singer arrived at
4:47 p.m.
Staff members present included: City Attorney Daniel B. Heid, Public
Works Director Dennis Dowdy, Finance Director Shelley Coleman,
Information Services Director Lorrie Rempher, Human Resources/Risk
Management Director Brenda Heineman, Police Chief Jim Kelly, Fire
Chief Russ Vandver, and City Clerk Danielle Daskam.
II. RESOLUTION NO. 3763
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
providing for the explanatory statement and appointing persons to serve
on the committees to draft the voter pamphlet statements for and against
the City of Auburn, Washington Proposition No.1, the Levy for the City of
Auburn Local Street Improvement Program
City Attorney Heid read Resolution No. 3763 by title. He explained that
the resolution provides for an explanatory statement for the local voters'
pamphlets and appoints the committees to draft the statements for and
against City of Auburn Proposition No.1, the Levy for the City of Auburn
Local Street Fund.
Mayor Lewis asked if anyone present would like to be appointed to the
committee to write the statement against Proposition NO.1. There was no
response.
(Councilmember Singer arrived at this time.)

Councilmember Wagner moved and Councilmember Cerino seconded to
adopt Resolution No. 3763.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 7-0.
III. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business on the special meeting agenda, the
meeting adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
