Mayor Kersey asked the city attorney if the use of a hearing examiner could be added later. Jack Bereiter responded that it wouldn't hurt the ordinance to do away with the section on the use of e hear.i.ny examiner. It was moved by Hitchcock, seconded by Craig, that Ordinance No. 3286 be introduced and adopted and the city attorney instructed to make modifications that came up in the meeting ROLL CALL VOTE: A11 councilmen voting YES MOTION CARRIED CORRESPONDENCE The'city clerk read the following items: 1. 'Lone Change Application from Ralph D. Haas to change from R-4 to C-1, property located at 5 - 3rd Strec>t N.E. (Appli.cation 29-78) 1. Zone Change Application from Robert Thompson and Jack Beauchamp to change from Pn R-2 & FZ-4 to C-1 & R-4, property located on east side of Harvey Road in the 800 ~! block. (Applicat_ion 30-78) 3. Conditional Use Permit Application .from Auburn North - a partnership to build apartments on ex.i_sting C-1 zoned property located.. on south side of 8th St. N.E. in 1100 block. (Application 31-78) Q 4. Request of Marine Hi.11s Co., Inc., for approval of preliminary plat #2 to be known as Auburn Park of Industry, Division II, and located on the northwest corner of .ISth Street N.W. and West Valley Highway. (P-4-78) It was moved by Larson, seconded by Roegner, that applications 29, 3D, 31-78 and P-4-78 be referred to the next regular meeting of the Planning Commission. MOTION CARRIED AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION Joe I3.lnctt_i, 609 21st St. S.G., asked what the status was of his request that property owners w.ith.in 500 feet of a proposed r°ezone be notified. Mayor Kersey responded that it will be brought up at t1x~ next Planning Commission Meeting. Binetti also inquired about tlrc rc~zone~ rc>quc:~st of Darrel Fowler. He was told that the next regular meeting of thc~ council on July 3 would have the matter on the agenda. BID OPENINGS Bids were opened June l3, 1978, at 11:00 a.m. on Contract 78-08, Street Striping for 1978. 1'a int-A-Line, Inc., submitted the only bid of $6,588.16. The Department of Public Works recommends awarding the bid to Paint-A-Line, Inc. Funding: Street Di vision .Budget. It was moved by Lea, seconded by Hitchcock, that Contract 78-08,.Street Striping for 1978, be awarded to Paint-A-Line, Inc., on their bid of $6,588.26. MOTION CARRIED The Department of Puviic Works recommends the following for council approval: 1. Change Order No. 1 to Contract 78-06, St. Imp. I86D, City Entry Signs, to Messenger Sign Co. decrease in the amount of $223.OQ. It was moved by Lea, seconded by Flechsig, that Change Order No. 1 to Contract 78-06, St. Imp. I86D, City Entry Signs , to Messenger Sign Co. be approved in the amount of a $223.00 decrease. ROLL CALL VOTE: A11 councilmen voting YES MOTION CARRIED 2.
