Jack Bereiter responded that it wouldn't hurt the ordinance to do away with the section
on the use of e hear.i.ny examiner.
It was moved by Hitchcock, seconded by Craig, that Ordinance No. 3286 be introduced and
adopted and the city attorney instructed to make modifications that came up in the meeting

The'city clerk read the following items:
1. 'Lone Change Application from Ralph D. Haas to change from R-4 to C-1, property

1. Zone Change Application from Robert Thompson and Jack Beauchamp to change from
Pn R-2 & FZ-4 to C-1 & R-4, property located on east side of Harvey Road in the 800

3. Conditional Use Permit Application .from Auburn North - a partnership to build

It was moved by Larson, seconded by Roegner, that applications 29, 3D, 31-78 and
P-4-78 be referred to the next regular meeting of the Planning Commission.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Joe I3.lnctt_i, 609 21st St. S.G., asked what the status was of his request that property
owners w.ith.in 500 feet of a proposed r°ezone be notified. Mayor Kersey responded that
it will be brought up at t1x~ next Planning Commission Meeting. Binetti also inquired
about tlrc rc~zone~ rc>quc:~st of Darrel Fowler. He was told that the next regular meeting
of thc~ council on July 3 would have the matter on the agenda.
BID OPENINGS
Bids were opened June l3, 1978, at 11:00 a.m. on Contract 78-08, Street Striping for
1978. 1'a int-A-Line, Inc., submitted the only bid of $6,588.16. The Department of
Public Works recommends awarding the bid to Paint-A-Line, Inc. Funding: Street
Di vision .Budget.
It was moved by Lea, seconded by Hitchcock, that Contract 78-08,.Street Striping for
1978, be awarded to Paint-A-Line, Inc., on their bid of $6,588.26.

It was moved by Larson, seconded by Flechsig, that the Final Plat of "Chinook Addition"
be approved and that the Chairman and ,Secretary sign the face of the plat, and that
the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the face of the plat upon receipt
from the the Public Works Department certification that the public improvements
have been installed and/or the necessary performance bond or other form of assurance
has been filed. ~.,

single family dwelling as a duplex dwelling unit together with using a portion

It was moved by Larson, seconded by Lea, that a public hearing be held July 3, 1978,
before the city council at the Auburn Schoal District Administration Building, at
8;00 p.m. on Applications 22, 25, 26, 27 and 28-78.

The Department of Puviic Works recommends the following for council approval:
1. Change Order No. 1 to Contract 78-06, St. Imp. I86D, City Entry Signs, to Messenger
Sign Co. decrease in the amount of $223.OQ.
It was moved by Lea, seconded by Flechsig, that Change Order No. 1 to Contract 78-06,
St. Imp. I86D, City Entry Signs , to Messenger Sign Co. be approved in the amount of
a $223.00 decrease.

2. Change Order No. 5A to Moss Construction Co., 77-16, St. Imp. 187, East Main'
St., .in the amount of $2,776.70 increase, consisting of fence relocation and
replacing of retaining wall due to right of way acquisition and installation
of sprinkler system not indicated on plans. ~"'
It was moved by Lea, seconded by Hitchcock, that Change Order No. 5A to Moss Construe >n
Co, 77-16, St. Imp. 187, East Main St., be approved in the amount of $2,776.79 increa. .
