AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION
QF A PORTlON OF A CERTAIN ALLEY SITUATE WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN.
WHEREAS, the City Counci I of the City of Auburn have passed and adopted Resolution
No. 285 resolving that a public hearing shal I be had for the purpose of determining
whether or not the fol lowing described portion of an al ley situate between Auburn Avenue
and "B-" Street N.E. and between 5th Street N.E. and 7th Street N.E. lying within the cor-
porate limits of the City of Auburn shal I be vacated, said portion to be vacated being
described as fol lows:
Beg. at the SW cor of Lot, I, Blk 2, New Auburn Addn to the
City of Auburn; th W to the SE cor Lot 15, Blk 2 of afore-
said add.; th NEly alg the E In of Lots 9 thru 15, Blk 2
of aforesaid Add. to the NE cor of Lot 9; th E to the NW
cor Lot 8, Blk 2 of aforesaid Add; th S alg the W In of
Lots I thru 8, Blk 2 of aforesaid Add. to the POB.
and.,
WHEREAS, notice of publ ic hear:ing to vacate the portion of the alley situate between
Auburn Avenue and "8" Street N.E. and beillween 5th and 7th Streets N.E. wi thin the corporate
limits of the City of Auburn, In the time and manner provided by law, giving notice that
the hearing on said Resolution waS to be held on the 18th day of Sep'tember, 1967, at
8:00 p.m. in the Counci I Chambers of the Ci ty Ha II of the Ci ty of Auburn; and,
WHEREAS, said publ ic hearing was duly cal led and held on the 18th day of September,
1967, at 8:00 p.m. in the City Counci I Chambersef the City Hall of the City of Auburn,

and no objections thereto were fi led with the City Clerk or presented to the City Counci I
at said hearing; and,
WHEREAS, the City Counci I, having deemed that the petition for vacation was proper
and that no vested rights would be affected by the same;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section I. That the fol lowing described portion of an al ley situate bøtween Auburn
Avenue and "B" Street N.E. and between 5th and 7th Streets N.E., within the corporate limits
of the City of Auburn, more particularly described as follows:
Beg at the SW cor of Lot I, Blk 2, New Auburn Addn to the
City of Auburn; th W to the SE cor Lot 15, Blk 2 of afore-
said add.; th NEly alg the E In of Lots 9 thru 15, Blk 2
of aforesaid Add. to the NE cor of Lot 9; th E to the NW
cor Lot 8, 81k 2 of aforesaid Add; th S alg the W In of
Lots I thru.8, Blk 2 of aforesaid Add. to the POB.
be and the Same is hereby vacated, and the property lying in sàid portion of the al ley
described hereinabove, shal I be returned and belong to the abutting property owners,

ROBERT W. SCARFF, DELLA F. SCARFF and CARROLL E. SCARFF, of said portion of an al ley
situate beWYieen Auburn Avenue and "B" Street N.E. and 5th and 7th Streets N.E., subject
to easements reserved therein to the City of Auburn for al I pub I ic uti lities.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect five (51 days from and after its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
