~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONIN'G~OF
A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THIRD fXr
I-A AND "M" STREETS NORTHEAST, SITUATE WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM
R-3 TO A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT.

WHEREAS, a petition dated March 8, 1976, together with plot plans and

r,, exterior elevations therefor has been submitted to the Council of the City of ~

ia Auburn, by the NEIGHBORHOOD CHAPEL, requesting a Conditional Use Permit which i

° would allow for the removal of the existing church and the construction of a
~ new church located on a parcel of land at the southwest corner of Third and
r
"M" Streets Northeast, within the City of Auburn, Washington, which property
hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance and which property presently
carries an R-3 (Duplex) classification; and
WHEREAS, said request above referred to was referred by the City Council
to the City Planning Commission for study and public hearing tfi.ereon; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider the
request in the City Hall of the City of Auburn, at 7:30 P.M. on April 6, 1976,
and subsequent thereto the City Planning Commission approved the issuance of the
Conditional Use Permit, finding that the proposed use illustrated by the site
development plans of the petitioner would not be unduly detrimental to the adjacent
and surrounding properties and the enjoyment thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn held a public hearing to
consider said petition in the City Hall of the City of Auburn at 8:00 P.M. on
May 3, 1976, at the conclusion of which the City Council concurred with the
recommendations of the Planning Comnission as hereinabove stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a Conditional Use Permit be granted for the purpose of
removing the existing church and constructing a new church on the following
described property, to-wit:

Lots 1, 5 and 6, Block 5, David A. Botting 2nd Addition
as recorded in Volume 41 of Plats, page 26, Records of
King County, Washington, situated in Section 18, Town-
ship 21 North, Range 5, City of Auburn, County of King,
State of Washington.
in accordance with the plot plans and exterior elevations for said development

~ Section 2. That the plot plans and exterior elevations be attached to
and become a part of the permit.
Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn is hereby authorized
and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County
Auditor's Office.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)
days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
