ORDINANCE NO. 3 4 7 6
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR
THE VACATION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, SITUATED ON A PORTION OF
REDDINGTON ROAD WHICH RUNS ADJACENT TO THE GREEN RIVER IN THE
3000 BLOCK OFF AUBURN WAY NORTH, AND SITUATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF AUBURN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, have passed
and adopted Resolution No. 1028, resolving that a public hearing shall be had
for the purpose of determining whether or not the hereinafter described street
right-of-way located on a portion of Reddington Road which runs adjacent to the
Green River in the 3000 Block off Auburn Way North, within the corporate limits
of the City of Auburn, shall be vacated, said portion to be vacated being here-
inafter legally described in Section 1 of this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, notice of public hearing to vacate the portion of a certain
street right-of-way located on a portion of Reddington Road which runs adjacent
to the Green River in the 3000 Block off Auburn Way North, within the corporate
limits of the City of Auburn, in the time and manner provided by law, giving
notice that the hearing on said Resolution No. 1028 was held on the 17th day of
December, 1979, at 8:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall,
no objections thereto were filed with the City Clerk or presented to the City
Council at said hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, having deemed that the petition for vacation
was proper and that no vested rights would be affected by the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described portion of a certain street
right-of-way situate on a portion of Reddington Road which runs adjacent to the
Green River in the 3000 Block off Auburn Way North, within the corporate limits
of the City of Auburn, Washington, and more particularly described as follows:

That portion of Reddington Road lying in Section 6, Township
21 North, Range 5 E.W.M. as conveyed to King County for road
purposes under Auditor's File No. 2776024 and lying within
the real property described as follows:
The North 157.6 feet of the William Brannan Donation Land
Claim No. 37; EXCEPT that portion conveyed to King County
for Reddington Road, as recorded under Recording No. 2776024;
ALSO, the south 528.0 feet of the Harvey H. Jones Donation
-Land Claim No. 39, lying east of the easterly margin of
State Highway No.5; EXCEPT that portion of the Harvey H.
Jones Donation Land Claim described as follows: Beginning
at the northwest corner of the William H. Brannan Donation
Land Claim; thence south 88°53' west 138.6 feet; thence
north 0°54' west 528 feet to the true point of beginning
of this description; thence north 89°08' east 1,815 feet;
thence south 0°54' east 360 feet; thence south 89°08' west
to the east line of the Kent-Thomas Road; thence north along
said east line of Kent-Thomas Road 360 feet, more or less,
to the true point of beginning; ALSO EXCEPT that portion
conveyed to King County for Reddington Road, as recorded
under Recording No. 2776024; situate in the County of King,
State of Washington.
be and the same is hereby vacated, and the property lying in said portion of
a certain street right-of-way described hereinabove, shall be returned and belong
to the abutting property owners, of said portion of a certain street right-of-way
located on a portion of Reddington Road which runs adjacent to the Green River in
the 3000 Block off Auburn Way North, lying within the corporate limits of the
City of Auburn.
Section 2. Upon the passage, approval and publication of this Ordinance,
the City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this Ordinance to be recorded in
the offi ce of the Ki ng County Audi tor.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)
days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
