AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR A CONDITIONAL
.~ USE PERFIIT ON PROPERTY ZONED R-3 LOCATED ON A PARCEL OF LAND ON THE
EAST SIDE OF "A" STREET S.E. BETl4EEN 13TH AND 14TH STREET S.E.,

> WHEREAS, a petition dated March 20, 1980, together with plot plans and

I,,,, exterior elevations therefor, has been submitted to the Council of the City
°' ~ of Auburn, by FRIENDSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH, requesting a Conditional Use Permit on

~ property zoned R-3, for the purpose of constructing a 190 seat sanctuary located
~ on a parcel of land on the east side of "A" Street S.E. between 13th and 14th

r Street S.E., within the City of Auburn, Washington, which property hereinafter
~~; described in Section 1 of this Ordinance and which property presently carries an
R-3 (Duplex) classification; and
WHEREAS, said request above referred td was referred 6y the City Council
to the~City Planning Commission for study and public hearing thereon; and
^WHEREAS, the'Planning Cormnission held a public hearing to consider the
request in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 7:30 P.M. on May
6, 1980, and subsequent thereto, the City Planning Commission approved the
issuance of a Conditiohal Use Permit on property zoned R-3, finding that the
proposed use illustrated by the site development plans of the petitioner would
not be unduly detrimental to the adjacent and surrounding properties and the
enjoyment thereof; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing to
consider said petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall at 8:00 P.P1.
on June 2, 1980, at the conclusion of which the City Council concurred with. the
recommendations of the Planning Commission as hereinabove stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a Conditional Use Permit on property zoned R-3 (.Duplex)
be granted for the purpose of constructing a 190 seat sanctuary on a parcel of
land on the east side of "A" Street S.E. between 13th and 14th Street S.E.,
situated in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, and legally
described as follows:

Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5, Blk 2, Terminal Park Addition
according to the plat recorded in Vol 21 of Plats,
.F_ pg 17 records of King County, WA, Except the east
3 feet of said Lot 5, situated in Section 19, Twp
21 N, R 5 EWM, City of Auburn, County of King,
State of WA.
in accordance with the plot plans and exterior elevations for said development
submitted with the, request fora Conditional Use Permit on property zoned R-3,
a copy of which. is attached hereto, designated as Exhibit "A" and by this reference
made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein.
Section 2. Consideration should be given -to any requirements of the Public
d` Works Department for the City of Auburn.

Section 3. That the Conditional Use Permit shall be null and void if
construction has not been commenced within one year after the adoption of this

Ordinance.
Section 4. The City Clerk of the City of Auburn, Washington, is hereby
authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the
King County Auditor.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
