AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, REPEALING AUBURN CODIFIED CITY
ORDINANCE 10.64.030 (PARADE PERMIT-REQUIRED) AND ENACTING A NEW
AUBURN CODIFIED CITY ORDINANCE 10.64.030.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 10.64.030 (Parade Permit-
Required) is herewith repealed.
Section 2. There is herewith enacted a new Auburn Codified City Ordinance
10.64.030 which shall read as follows:
"10.64.030 Permit - Required.
No person shall engage in, participate in, aid, form or start
any parade, unless a parade permit has been obtained from the Auburn
Police Chief, with the concurrence of the Mayor; provided, this chapter
shall not apply to:
A. Funeral procession, provided such vehicles are marked or
di tinguished by illuminated headlights;
B. Students going to and from school classes or participating
in educational activities, providing such conduct is under
the immediate direction and supervision of the proper school
authorities;
C. A governmental agency acting within the scope of its functions;
and
D. Practice sessions by a group or entrant which has previously
obtained the approval of the Auburn Police Chief with the
concurrence of the Mayor."
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.

I, CoraIee A. McConnehey, the duly appointed, qualified City Clerk
of the City of Auburn, a Municipal Corporation and Code City, situate in
the County of King, State of Washington, do hereby certify that the fore-
going is a full, true and correct copy of ordinance No. 3532 of the
ordinances of the City of Auburn, entitled "AN ORDINANCE
of the City of Auburn, Washington, repealing Auburn Codified City Ordinance
10.64.030 (Parade permit-required) and enacting a new Auburn Codified City
Ordinance No. 10.64.030.
I certify that said ordinance No. 3532 was duly passed by the Council
and approved by the mayor of the said City of Auburn, on the 21stday of
July A.D., 19 80.
I further certify that said Ordinance No. 3532 was published as provided
by law in the Daily Globe News, a daily newspaper published in the City of
Auburn, and of general circulation therein, on the 27th day of July
A.D., 19 80 .
