AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
A PARCEL OF LAND APPROXIMATELY 110 ACRES IN SIZE LYING ON THE SOUTH SIDE
OF THE STUCK RIVER ONE-HALF MILE EAST OF "R" STREET S.E., WITHIN THE CITY
OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM
UNCLASSIFIED TO R-T AND R-TP.

0 WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of
h' Auburn, Washington, by TRANSCANADA ENTERPRISES, LTD., requesting the rezoning
of the real property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, which
petition was dated May 22, 1979; and
WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning
Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on July 3, 1979, at
7:30 P.M., at which time the matter was tabled; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on June 3, 1980, at
7:30 P.M., at which time the matter was tabled; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on July 8, 1980, at
7:30 P.M., at the conclusion of which the Planning Commission recommended the
approval of the rezoning of the said property; and.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, after due

and proper notice held a public hearing in the Council' Chambers of the Auburn
City Hall at 8:00 P.M. on August 4, 1980, and heard arguments both for and
against said rezone request from members of the audience; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, after having considered the recommendation of the
Auburn Planning Commission, the arguments both for and against said rezone from
the audience and after having examined the environmental impact statement prepared
in conjunction with said rezone request, the Auburn City Council found that the
granting of said rezone request was consistent with the Auburn Comprehensive Land

Use Plan and with proper planning and that the environmental impact statement
indicated there would be no significant adverse effectlupon the environment of
the area of the rezone in question;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE.CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That the following described property located on a parcel of
land approximately 110 acres in size lying on the south side of the Stuck. River
one-half mile east of "R" Street S.E., situate in the City of Auburn, County of
King, State of Washington, be and the same is hereby rezoned from Unclassified to
R-T (Residential Mobile Homes) and R-TP (.Mobile Home Park), to-wit:
Parcel A - Unclassified to R-TP (Mobile Home Park):
The SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Sec 29,
TWP 21 N, R 5 EWM.
Parcel B - Unclassified to R-T (Residential Mobile Homes):
The N 112 of the SE 1/4 of Sec 29,
Twp 21 N, R 5, EWM except the NWly
cor thof containing approximately
9 acres, King County, Washington State.
Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the
City of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this zoning use classification change,
which amendment is designated as Exhibit "A" hereof, be and the same is hereby
approved.
Section 3. Final site plans for the portion of the property zoned R-TP
shall be prepared and submitted to the Planning & Community Development Committee
of the City Council for approval within five (5) years after adoption of this
Ordinance or the property will revert back to its original zoning of Unclassified.
Section 4. A Preliminary and Final Plat shall be approved by the City
Council on the portion of the property zoned R-T within five (5) years after the
adoption of this Ordinance or the property will revert back to its original
zoning of Unclassified.

Section 5. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, is hereby authorized
and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County Auditor.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
