HomeMy WebLinkAbout3540 ORDINANCE NO. 3 5 4 0 }y $*6Ll AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING, FOR THE REZONING OF A PARCEL OF LAND 152 ACRES IN SIZE LOCATED SOUTH OF 52ND STREET N.E. WEST OF THE GREEN RIVER, WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM UNCLASSIFIED TO R-2 AND UNCLASSIFIED TO R-2 WITH A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR MULTI-FAMILY,UNITS. It ' WHEREAS, a petition dated May 22, 1979, has been submitted to the Council 0 0 O CD co of the City of Auburn, by 14EMBLEY ENTERPRISES LTD., requesting the rezoning of property zoned Unclassified to R-2 and R-4 on a parcel of land 152 acres in size located south of 52nd Street N.E. west of the Green River, within the City of Auburn, which property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance; and WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said petition in the Council Chambers of the?Auburn City Hall, on July 3, 1979, at 7:30 P.M., at which time`the Planning Commission tabled this request until all the environmental concerns have been answered; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on June 3, 1980, at 7:30 P.M., and subsequent thereto the City Planning Commission denied the request of the rezoning from Unclassified to R-2 and R-4 and approved the rezoning from Unclassified to R-2 and Unclassified to R-2 with a Conditional Use Permit for multi-family units; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M. on July 7, 1980, at which time the request was tabled until the next regular City Council Meeting; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M. on July 21, 1980, at which time the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the Planning Commission as hereinabove stated; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Ordinance No. 3540 Page One 8-12-80 2ci:l ?"C? !F W, LI 124t' PU ty r? That the following described property located on a parcel of land 152 acres in size located south of 52nd Street N.E. west of the Green River, within the City of Auburn, State of Washington, be and the same is hereby rezoned from 0 Unclassified to R-2 (Single Family), to-wit: % The North 1/2 of George E. King Donation Claim Number 40 situated in Section 31, Township 22 North, Range 5 N E.W.M. King County, Washington. Section 2. That the following described property located on a portion of a parcel of land 152 acres in size located south of 52nd Street N.E. west of the Green River, within the City of Auburn, State of Washington, be and the same is hereby rezoned from Unclassified to R-2 with a Conditional Use Permit for Multi-Family units, to-wit: The west 550 feet and north 550 feet of the north 1/2 of George E. King Donation Claim Number 40, situated in Section 31, Township 22 North, Range 5 E.W.M. King County, Washington. Section 3. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the City of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this zoning use classification change, which amendment is designated as Exhibit "A" hereof, be and the same is hereby approved. Section 4. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County Auditor. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage; approval and publication, as provided by law.
