ORDINANCE NO. 3 5 4 6
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
A PARCEL OF LAND APPROXIMATELY 27.52 ACRES IN SIZE LYING SOUTH OF
15TH STREET N.W. BETWEEN THE CHICAGO MILWAUKEE RAILROAD RIGHT OF
WAY AND:THE VALLEY FREEWAY, WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM UNCLASSIFIED TO M-1.
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of
Auburn, Washington, by McINTOSH x ASSOCIATES, requesting the rezoning of the
real property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, which petition
was dated October 23, 1979; and
WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning
Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held public hearings to consider said
petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on December 4, 1979 and
March 5, 1980, at 7:30 P.M., at which times the application was tabled until
additional information was submitted; and
' WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said

petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on August 5, 1980, at
7:30 P.M., at the conclusion of which the Planning Commission recommended the
approval of the rezoning of.the said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing in
the Council Chambers of the AuburnMCity Hall, et 8:00 P.M. on September 2, 1980,
at which time-the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the Planning
Commission as hereinabove stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.- That the following described property located on a parcel of

land approximately 27.52 acres in size lying south of 15th Street N.W. between w
the Chicago Milwaukee Railroad right of way and the Valley Freeway, situate in the
City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, be rezoned as follows:

That the 9.61 acre parcel as shown on the conceptual site plan dated May
1, 1980, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part of this Ordinance, be
rezoned from Unclassified to M-1 (Light Industrial), and the balance of the
site be designated as floodway and be restricted to those uses allowed under

the floodway as defined by the Insurance and Hazard Mitigation Division of the
Federal Insurance Management Agency, which property is legally described as
follows, to-wit:
NE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Sec 12, Twp 21 N, R 4 EWM King
County, WA. Except Railroad Right of Way and except
portion thereof condemned for Freeway under King
County Superior Court Case No. 718093.
Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the City
k of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this zoning use classification change, which
amendment is designated as Exhibit "B" hereof, be and the same is hereby approved.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of$Auburn, is hereby authorized and
directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County Auditor.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.

I certify that said Ordinance No. 3545 was duly passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor of the said ty of Auburn, on the 15th
day of SEPTEMBER , A.D., 19 80 .
I further certify that said Ordinance No. 3545 was published as
provided by law in the Daily Globe News, a daily newspaper published in the
City of Auburn, and of general circulation therein, on the 21st day of
SEPTEMBER A.D., 1980
