ORDINANCE NO. 3 5 7 6
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
A PARCEL OF LAND APPROXIMATELY 20 ACRES IN SIZE LYING ON THE EAST SIDE
OF THE WEST VALLEY HIGHWAY NORTH OF 29TH STREET N.W., WITHIN THE CITY
OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM
UNCLASSIFIED TO M-1.
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of
Auburn, Washington, by ANDREW ELLIOTT, requesting the rezoning of the real
j property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, which petition
Q_ was dated October 2, 1980; and
WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning
Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on November 4, 1980,
at 7:30 P.M., at the conclusion of which the Planning Commission recommended
the approval of the rezoning of the said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing
in the Council.Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M. on December 1,
1930, at which time the City Council concurred with the recommendations of
the Planning Commission as hereinabove stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
(Light Industrial), to=wit:
Section 1. That the following described property located on a parcel of
land approximately 20 acres in size lying on the east side of the West Valley
Highway north of 29th'Street N.W., situate in the` City of Auburn, County of King,
State of Washington, be and the same is hereby rezoned from Unclassified to M-1

as per plat recorded in Vol 23 of Plats, pg 6, records
of King County; EXCEPT that por of Lot 7 conveyed to
the State of Wash. for Secondary State Highway No. 5-5M
by deed recorded under Recording No. 3015448; AND EXCEPT
that por of sd Lot 8 condemned in King County Superior
Court Cause No. 718254; AND EXCEPT the S 575 ft of sd
Lots 7 and 8, conveyed to Andrew S. Elliott and Sherrill
D. Elliott, his wife, by deed recorded under Recording
No. 7412100158 situated in Section 1, Twp 21 N, R 4 EWM
City of Auburn, County of King, State of WA.
Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the

City of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this zoning-use classification change,
which amendment is designated as Exhibit "A" hereof, be and the same is hereby

Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, is hereby authorized
and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County Auditor.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)
days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
